ETP Slovakia

ETP Slovakia (ETP Slovensko in Slovak) is a Slovakian NGO founded in 1995 to carry on the mission of the Environmental Training Project for the Central and Eastern Europe. Currently its main focus lies on empowering people in need, primarily those belonging to marginalised Roma communities in Eastern Slovakia.

How can it help you

ETP Slovakia runs community centres in several places in Eastern Slovakia providing consultancy, educational, training and cultural activities helping social integration and inclusion of the Roma people.

Activities

• Providing pre-school assistance to Roma children using the Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment method
• Providing mentoring for talented Roma pupils to help in school and in completing their secondary school education
• Providing microloans to Roma families to help them in improving their housing conditions, the learning conditions of their children, and their chances on the labour market
• Organising programmes aimed at improving financial competences and skills of the Roma people
• Organising complex programmes for the Roma in the community centres
